Key Takeaways
Beauty buyers decide quickly. A salon owner or clinic manager walking a hall has a short list of brands to see and a limited amount of time, so if your stand is at the wrong show, or the right show with a graphic that dulls your product, the sale goes elsewhere. The stakes are real in a sector that, according to the British Beauty Councilβs Value of Beauty 2026 report, contributed Β£28.3 billion to the UK economy in 2025 and supported more than 595,000 jobs, even as total employment fell 2.8%.
This guide sets out the beauty trade shows UK brands, distributors and service suppliers should have in the diary for 2027: dates, venues, who each show suits and what to check before you commit. It is written for exhibitors choosing where to spend a budget, and it works equally well if you are a salon or clinic owner deciding which hall to visit.
Beauty trade shows in the UK at a glance (2027)
The table lists shows with 2027 dates on their organisersβ own websites at the time of writing (23 October 2026). Dates, halls and opening hours can change, so check the official page before you book travel or ship graphics.
| Show | 2027 dates | Venue | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Professional Beauty Spring | Sunday 28 February to Monday 1 March | Olympia London | Brands selling to salons, spas and clinics |
| ACE (Aesthetics Conference & Exhibition) | Friday 12 to Saturday 13 March | Business Design Centre, Islington, London | Suppliers to aesthetic practitioners and clinic owners |
| HairCon | 12 to 14 June (invitation-only opening night on Saturday 12 June) | O2 Victoria Warehouse, Manchester | Hair and barbering brands, tools, colour and salon software |
| Professional Beauty London, with Salon International | Sunday 10 to Monday 11 October | ExCeL London | Salon, spa, nail, skincare and hair suppliers |
The list covers professional beauty, aesthetics and hair. Consumer beauty events and shows aimed at the public are separate, and beauty-adjacent shows such as natural products fairs are not included because their organisers had not published confirmed 2027 dates on the pages we checked.
What the beauty market tells exhibitors in 2027
A large sector under cost pressure
The British Beauty Councilβs report, compiled with Oxford Economics, puts the industryβs total UK economic contribution at Β£28.3 billion in 2025, with more than 595,000 jobs supported and Β£4.2 billion of beauty and personal care exports. Employment fell 2.8% over the year, and the councilβs chief executive Millie Kendall OBE said successive budgets have made it βincreasingly difficult for beauty businesses to create and sustain jobsβ.
Salons report the same squeeze from the cost side. The National Hair & Beauty Federationβs costs report found that 72% of businesses expect to raise prices and 45% plan to cut staff hours in response to higher labour costs. For an exhibitor, that means buyers are cautious with orders. They will still buy, but they want proof that a product earns its place on the shelf or treatment menu.
Consumers are still spending on beauty
Demand at the consumer end is stronger. Circana reported that the UK prestige beauty market generated Β£1.1 billion in the second quarter of 2026, up 9.2% year on year, with skincare up 15.7% and haircare up 20.4%. Circanaβs head of beauty, June Jensen-Mills, said that beauty βcontinues to earn its place in the basketβ, which is the argument professional buyers want to hear when they decide what to stock.
Professionals still go to shows in person
Professional Beauty London welcomed 22,378 visitors to ExCeL London over two days on 4β5 October 2026, according to its organisers, while Salon International, which ran alongside it, reported 34,173 visitors. Those are separate counts for two events held together, so do not add them up without checking how the organiser defines a visitor.

That comment, made by an exhibitor about the 2026 show, is typical of what established brands say about their anchor event. A stand at the right show is where relationships get renewed and new accounts open.
The top UK beauty trade shows for 2027
Professional Beauty Spring: 28 February to 1 March 2027, Olympia London
Professional Beauty Groupβs 2026 highlights page lists Professional Beauty Spring at Olympia London from Sunday 28 February to Monday 1 March 2027. It is the spring counterpart to the October show, run by the same organiser, so expect an audience of salon, spa and clinic owners and therapists.
At the time of writing, the pages we checked gave the date and venue but no 2027 programme, exhibitor count or ticket details. Ask the organiser for the floor plan, stand prices and audited visitor figures before you commit, and do not assume the layout will match the October show.
ACE (Aesthetics Conference & Exhibition): 12β13 March 2027, Business Design Centre
ACE is aimed at medical aesthetics practitioners and the companies that supply them. The organiserβs page lists it for Friday 12 March (09:00 to 17:00) and Saturday 13 March 2027 (09:00 to 16:00) at the Business Design Centre, 52 Upper Street, Islington, London, with the Aesthetics Awards following on the Saturday evening. Attendees must be 18 or over.
The 2026 edition had six free conference theatres and more than 100 speakers, and the exhibitors range across pharmaceutical, device, skincare and service companies. For 2027 the organiser is adding the Aesthetics Business Show, a dedicated space for clinic owners covering finance, operations, marketing, leadership and compliance. The page did not publish visitor or exhibitor totals, so ask for them.
A clinical audience tends to read a stand as a sign of credibility. Clean, uncluttered graphics, accurate product imagery and a calm, well-lit layout usually work better than heavy promotional messaging. A backlit display behind a consultation counter is one way to give skin and treatment imagery the even light it needs.
HairCon: 12β14 June 2027, O2 Victoria Warehouse, Manchester
HairCon is described by its organisers as the UKβs leading hair and barbering trade event, powered by Fresha. The 2027 edition runs from 12 to 14 June at the O2 Victoria Warehouse in Manchester, with an invitation-only opening night on Saturday 12 June. The programme combines stage shows, brand experiences, panel discussions and demonstrations, and it covers areas such as salon software, colour, extensions and styling tools.
The organiser states that 96% of guests said they would return and recommend HairCon, though the page does not say which year that refers to, and it gives no visitor or exhibitor totals. This is a good fit if your buyers are stylists and barbers who want to see products used, which means your stand needs somewhere to demonstrate as well as display.
Professional Beauty London with Salon International: 10β11 October 2027, ExCeL London
This is the largest professional beauty event on the UK calendar. Professional Beautyβs highlights page confirms that Professional Beauty London returns to ExCeL London on 10β11 October 2027, again co-located with Salon International, the hairdressing show. In 2026 the organisers also ran the World Spa & Wellness Convention, the International Manufacturers & Distributors Forum, CIDESCO workshops, Nailympia and the National Massage Championship alongside it.
The show draws salon owners, beauty therapists, nail technicians, skincare specialists, aesthetic practitioners, spa professionals and students, and visitors can register for a free ticket. Because the exhibitor list runs to hundreds of suppliers, the front of your stand has to do the selling in seconds. A printed counter or podium gives you a place to talk, write orders and store stock, and a matching backwall makes the stand read as one brand from the aisle.
Two other shows are worth watching. The Aesthetic Show UK ran at Convene Sancroft near St Paulβs on 26β27 June 2026, but its official pages did not show 2027 dates when we checked, and Afro Hair & Beauty LIVE had no 2027 dates we could confirm from its organiser. Check both before you finalise your calendar.
How to choose the right beauty show
Start with who buys from you
Visitor numbers matter less than whether the people walking past can say yes. Look at your last ten orders and note whether each came from a salon, a clinic, a spa, a distributor or an individual freelancer. Then match the show to the buyer, not the other way round.
| If you sell to⦠| Start with | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Salon owners, therapists, nail technicians and spas | Professional Beauty London or Spring | The organiserβs visitor profile lists these roles, and the October show is co-located with Salon International |
| Aesthetic doctors, nurses and clinic owners | ACE | The audience is medical aesthetics practitioners, and 2027 adds a clinic business show |
| Hairdressers and barbers | HairCon or Salon International | Hair-specific content, demonstrations and brand experiences |
| Distributors and manufacturers | Professional Beauty London | In 2026 it hosted the International Manufacturers & Distributors Forum alongside the show |
| Salon software and business services | HairCon or the Aesthetics Business Show | Both programmes include business and growth content |
Set a target before you pay for space
Decide what a good show looks like in numbers: booked meetings, qualified leads, first orders. A simple test is to divide your total cost of exhibiting, including space, stand, travel, accommodation and staff time, by your average first order value. That tells you how many new accounts you need to break even. Our exhibition stand cost guide shows what the stand itself typically adds to that figure.
Match the stand to the floor
Check whether your space is a shell scheme or a space-only plot. A shell scheme gives you panels to attach graphics to, usually with hook-and-loop strips, so shell scheme graphics must be cut to the exact panel sizes. A space-only plot lets you build freestanding walls, counters and lighting, and our exhibition displays by stand size are a practical way to see what fits a 3m or 6m frontage. If you are on a small budget, our guide to small exhibition stand ideas shows what works in a compact space.
Making a beauty stand work harder
- Light your products honestly. Beauty is judged by colour, finish and skin tone, so even, glare-free light matters. Our guide to exhibition stand lighting covers the options, and our article on LED light box displays explains when a backlit graphic helps.
- Check colour before you print. Small colour shifts between a screen and printed fabric are normal in dye-sublimation, so if your brand colour is critical, ask for a printed swatch before the full run.
- Give product a home. Shelving at eye level lets buyers pick up and compare. A booth kit with pegboard shelving, header and counter is a practical starting point for a 3m x 3m plot where you need both display and a place to talk.
- Make a treatment or demo corner. Leave space for a chair or a small table so you can show a product being used, and confirm in the exhibitor manual what the organiser allows for demonstrations and sampling.
- Cover the table. A branded table cover hides storage and keeps a consultation table looking tidy through a busy two days.
- Keep one message. Visitors walk past dozens of stands. One clear headline and a single hero product image will be remembered longer than six.
Preparing your display for a 2027 show
Production and dispatch typically take five to seven business days from the next working day after you order and approve your proof. Express is quoted at around four to five business days and costs extra. Larger builds such as long backlit lightbox runs are quoted at 10 to 12 business days. Your order confirmation shows the dispatch date, and if Backdropsource misses it, the order is upgraded to expedited shipping at its cost.
Couriers set the transit time, so aim for delivery a few days before you need the goods. Professional Beauty Spring and Professional Beauty London both open on a Sunday, and carriers deliver Monday to Friday, so deliver the week before. Most displays are tool-free and freestanding, which makes setup quick, and our exhibition stand checklist covers packing, setup and breakdown. If you are travelling with the stand, a portable exhibition display packs into a bag and fits in a car boot.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Booking the biggest show by default. A large hall with the wrong buyers is an expensive way to be ignored.
- Treating clinics and salons as one audience. An aesthetics practitioner and a salon owner look for different things on a stand, so check who the visitor profile actually lists.
- Designing before you know the stand type. A graphic for a space-only plot will not fit shell scheme panels.
- Trusting the screen for colour. Order a swatch if your brand colour matters.
- Leaving artwork late. Late files cause most dispatch slips. Our first-time exhibitor checklist covers what to prepare and when, and our trade show marketing guide covers what to do before and after the show.
Your pre-show checklist
- List your last ten orders and identify the buyer type for each.
- Shortlist two or three shows and confirm the 2027 dates on the organiserβs page.
- Ask for audited visitor figures, the floor plan and the exhibitor manual.
- Confirm the stand type (shell scheme or space only) and the exact dimensions.
- Choose one headline message and the products that go on display.
- Order a printed swatch if your brand colour is critical.
- Request a free 2D mockup and approve the proof early.
- Tell your supplier the show date and agree a dispatch date in writing.
- Plan delivery for the week before the show, especially for Sunday openings.
- Set an order or meeting target and a follow-up plan for every lead.
