Frequently Asked Questions

How does the folding frame work? +
The frame is a linked lattice that expands from a compact bundle into a full wall and locks into shape without tools. You pull it open, let the arms find their position, then square the structure before dressing it. The only real technique is expanding it evenly rather than forcing one side open first, which is what puts strain on the joints and eventually loosens a section.
Does the printed fabric stay attached between events? +
On the Fabric Pop Up Curved Velcro Media Wall and similar hook-and-loop systems, the graphic can stay on the frame and fold down with it, which is the main reason people choose fabric over panel systems. Fold it along the same lines each time so the creases stay consistent and predictable. If you need to remove the skin, peel the hook-and-loop slowly from one corner rather than pulling from the middle, which distorts the edge tape.
How do I get creases out of the fabric on site? +
Hang the graphic up as soon as you arrive and give it an hour; tension and room temperature remove most travel creases on their own. For anything left, use a handheld steamer held a few centimetres away and keep it moving. Never put a hot iron directly on the print, and never fold a damp skin back into its bag, as trapped moisture in storage causes mildew spotting that will not come out.
Can the fabric be washed? +
Yes, with care. A cool hand wash or gentle machine cycle without bleach or fabric softener will lift most stand-floor grime, and the skin should be air dried rather than tumble dried. Dye-sublimated colour is bonded into the fibre so it will not run, but heat is the enemy of the fabric itself. Spot cleaning with a damp cloth is usually enough between shows and avoids putting the whole skin through a wash it does not need.
What does double side printed actually change? +
The Horizontal, Vertical, Triangle, Round and Semi-Circle Fabric Pop Up Banners are printed on both faces so they work in the round, which matters when visitors approach from either direction. What you need to check is whether the fabric has an opaque inner layer. Without one, the design on the reverse ghosts through and both sides look muddy, particularly with a light background and dark type.
How is this different from an SEG pop-up? +
Hook-and-loop fabric pop-ups have the graphic fixed to the surface of the frame, so setup is fast and the skin can stay attached. SEG systems push a silicone strip sewn to the edge of the graphic into a channel around the frame, which gives a flatter, framed face with a crisper edge but takes longer to fit. If speed and frequent handling matter most, the fabric system in this collection is the practical choice.
Where does the Custom Printed Fabric Retractable & Collapsible Display fit in? +
It suits smaller spaces and short activations where a full back wall is more than you need, such as a foyer, a conference registration desk or a roadshow with several stops in a day. It collapses to a smaller package than a full wall system, so it can be carried by one person on public transport. Use it where you need branding present rather than where you need a stand built.
How should I store fabric displays between events? +
Keep the skin dry, loosely packed and out of direct sunlight, and store the case somewhere warm rather than in an unheated garage or van overnight. Do not stack heavy boxes on top of a bagged frame, as the pressure transfers into the fabric and sets creases that steaming will struggle to shift. Check the hook-and-loop tape for lint each time you pack down, since a clogged strip stops holding properly. This matters if you are running several dates a year at venues like SEC Glasgow with weeks in storage between them.
