What is an LED lightbox?

An LED lightbox is a fabric display with built-in LEDs behind the printed graphic. The light makes the image glow evenly, so it stays readable in a bright hall where a standard print would wash out. It is part of our SEG Fabric Displays range.

Our lightboxes use an aluminium frame and silicone-edge graphics, so the fabric sits flush with the frame and the display looks frameless. The frames are listed at 80mm and 120mm depths.

LED lightboxes suit exhibitions, showrooms, retail floors and branded activations, anywhere the display needs to stand in open space rather than against a wall.

Single-sided or double-sided?

A single-sided lightbox suits a stand where visitors approach from one direction, such as along an aisle or against a wall of the stand. The back is not meant to be seen, so a single-sided unit is the simpler choice for a stand edge.

A double-sided lightbox shows the graphic from both faces, which suits an island, a central position or a display that people walk around. The RGB LED fabric light box is double-sided, and the folding light box stand is listed in both formats.

What sizes and heights are available?

SEG LED lightboxes run from a 0.85m wide by 2m high unit, through 1m, 1.2m and 2.5m high frameless models, up to a 6m wide wall. An oversize display goes up to 3m wide by 4m high.

Measure the frontage in your booking and the height limit at the venue, then choose the size that fits your stand plan. Height matters as much as width. Check the ceiling and any rigging limits, and think about viewing distance: a taller display is seen from further down the hall, while a shorter one suits a close, face-to-face stand.

Do you need a power point?

Yes. The lightboxes are LED-lit and need mains power, so confirm the power point and the cable route with the venue before the event. The power set-up depends on the depth of the frame. The slimmer 80mm profile uses an external transformer, and the deeper 120mm profile uses an internal power supply.

Some organisers charge for power, so ask about costs when you book. The folding light box stand ships with a transformer and power cord, which shows the kind of supply to expect with a slim unit.

Plan the position of the lightbox so the lead stays out of visitors' way, and keep the power point within reach of the unit. A quick check of the venue's electrical rules can save a delay on the day.

Can you add a counter, shelves, a header or a folding stand?

Yes. The range includes an illuminated counter at 1m high, an LED light box with shelves, a premium LED light box with a header and a folding light box stand. These let the display carry products as well as graphics.

A folding counter is also available for stands that need a lit surface for products. Included parts vary by model, so check each product page before you order.

Shelves and a counter work well together on a small stand, because the lit display draws the eye and the counter gives visitors a place to pick things up.

Can you change the graphic on a lightbox?

Yes. The printed SEG fabric can be replaced when your branding, offer or event changes, while the frame and LED unit stay in place. That makes an LED lightbox a sound choice for a display you use across several seasons.

Order replacement fabric at the same size as the original, and send the new artwork early so it can be printed and checked before the event. A free 2D mockup lets you see the new design on the same size before anything is printed.
